Product, version and build: latest patch/version Operating system: 64 bit windows enterprise Hi, I'm creating a GUI that sits in the systemtray. When it is clicked, it shows you computer information. I have "drawn" the XAML with visual studio and i use Powershell Studio to make it into an EXE. This ...

Re: Build an EXE containing all files (dotsource)

If one is down the job is sent to the companion spooler. Just out of curiosity, How does that work? Is the printer installed on two printservers? How does it know what server is it's primary and its backup? It's not really a case of how i want it, it's how it's been asked of me. especially when you...

Re: Build an EXE containing all files (dotsource)

It baffles me why anyone in a Windows domain would not want to use a spooler. This allows Active Directory to complete manage all printers and printer deployments as well as driver updates and installation. It is simple and transparent. A spooler can manage hundreds of printers and thousands of use...

Re: Build an EXE containing all files (dotsource)

Hi guys, Thanks for answering my question, bottom line, what i want to do isn't meant for an EXE. Since you guys are as kind to spend your time answering my questions, i'll try to give some more insight. The concerns you have are not applicable for my situation (you could not have known that, so i a...

Re: Build an EXE containing all files (dotsource)

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me, i'm confused :-/ . I'm creating a GUI to install a TCP/IP printer. It reads the needed info for the TCP/IP-port out of the CSV. The CSV file contains 4 values : Office;Workplace;IP;Portname, eg: NY;Ticketboot2;10.10.10.10;NYTicketboot2 The IT-staff would only have ...

Re: How to cancel a running function by pressing a button?

Hi Jvierra, thanks again for your response. I found the following page: https://www.sapien.com/blog/2011/07/15/primalforms-2011-creating-responsive-loops/ After some tinkering i got it to work. It isn't perfect but it gets the jobs done. The job approach seems an interesting way of handling it, so i...

Re: In a Treeview, how to select only one checkbox?

Hi @jvierra , So first off, thank you for taking the time to respond AND to make me an example. I see what you did, you made a function that calls itself as long as it finds nodes. Now, as i said in my opening post, i'm not new to Powershell but this GUI stuff if new. I have this book called "PowerS...

Re: In a Treeview, how to select only one checkbox?

Thank you, your post got me thinking. I found a way to loop through all checkboxes. i'm sure it's not the most performant way but it works. within the formload for instance, you can go like: #$root = top level #$o = level 1 Offices #$w = level 2 Workplace [System.Windows.Forms.TreeNodeCollection]$No...
