Re: Function causes form to freeze and label not to update.

Thanks very much for the clarification, I understand now. I was getting confused as I associated the text property with the combo box control so was thinking of it as a property of a property if that makes sense instead of seeing text as it's own type of object (a string).

Ahh I think I understand, the length property is inherited from another control so it can be used in the combo box class.

$label1.Refresh()
Excellent, that worked. Thanks very much.

Do you know why sometimes I have to specify a method like this:

$label1.Refresh()

but other times I can just use

Function causes form to freeze and label not to update.

Good Evening, I have got an issue with a click event that runs a function - I would like the click event to update a label on my form before running the function as the function takes a while to run and causes my form to freeze. Is there a way I can force a form refresh before the function runs?: $b...

Progress Bar - Get-Mailbox

Good Afternoon,

I have a command that retrieves all mailboxes from our Office 365 tenant but it takes a while to run, how would I create a progress bar to show that my application is retrieving mailboxes?

Thanks for any help.

Re: GUI Error handling issues.

Do we know if this is an issue with powershell studio or if it is a powershell limitation?

Capturing Powershell Errors

EDIT: Apologies I just saw the post below mine to do with handling errors, I think I have the same issue because I am also in a PS-Session to set mailbox permissions. Good Afternoon, I have a GUI form that sets mailbox permissions in Office 365. When a mailbox does not exist I can see the powershell...

Powershell Window within Windows Form

Good Morning,

Is it possible to embed a powershell window (where I can enter cmdlets and such) within a form? Is there a host control I can use in Powershell Studio 2015?

Thanks,

Re: Override Application Exit - NotifyIcon.Visible = $false?

Hi jvierra,

When the application exits the NotifyIcon remains in the taskbar until I wiggle my mouse over it and then it disappears, in order to stop this from happening I would like to be able to do:

$NotifyIcon.Visible = false when the user clicks the 'X' on my form?
