Most likely you have a powershell version prior to RC2 installed.

Can you check that please?

Actually we don't intentionally create Restore points.
I have to check if the installer does that.

I'll put together a transfer settings guide. It really is pretty simple.

It will show if the memory leaks occur because the process gets revived out of hibernation. Since we have no direct action that causes an obvious leak
I need to eliminate possibilities one by one.

Most likely you have a PowerShell beta or RC1 installed. Install the released version from the MS site and it should be fine. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/technologies/management/powershell/download.mspx You also must have the .NET 2.0 framework installed for powershell. Alex

Memory fragmentation can be a problem in any case. In order to find the root cause, Roger, could you please do the following: - Disable the startup page in the options - Close PrimalScript everytime before you hibernate for a few days. Please let us know if that makes a difference. Alex

Windows allocates device contexts and fonts and brushes and all that as needed and they are on a lazy release. Try miminizing the app and see if most of the memory usage goes away. Try running PrimalScript.exe /RESETDEBUGGER once


Note that the parameter MUST be in uppercase.
