4.1 behaviors and memory leak

It will show if the memory leaks occur because the process gets revived out of hibernation. Since we have no direct action that causes an obvious leak
I need to eliminate possibilities one by one.

Thanks!

PrimalScript 4.1 - Powershell Error

Most likely you have a PowerShell beta or RC1 installed. Install the released version from the MS site and it should be fine. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/technologies/management/powershell/download.mspx You also must have the .NET 2.0 framework installed for powershell. Alex

4.1 behaviors and memory leak

Memory fragmentation can be a problem in any case. In order to find the root cause, Roger, could you please do the following: - Disable the startup page in the options - Close PrimalScript everytime before you hibernate for a few days. Please let us know if that makes a difference. Alex

4.1 behaviors and memory leak

Windows allocates device contexts and fonts and brushes and all that as needed and they are on a lazy release. Try miminizing the app and see if most of the memory usage goes away. I have looked at the code and I only see one potential for a memory leak described in the first post. That would requir...

PS41 Start Page

Thanks for letting us know. We will check into it.

In the mean time simply switch the startpage off at
Tools - Options - Text Editor - General - "Show launch page on startup"

Exchange key for update

Hi. It's not really hard. Go to www.primalscript.com and follow the links that say "FREE UPGRADE" (they are BRIGHT RED), punch in your key and your email address you used to register and you have a new key. For a FREE upgrade that is not hard to do I think. As for the sales team, just imagine how ma...

4.1 behaviors and memory leak

I am not aware of us sending anything on a network. Can you be more specific how you notice that we would do so? The startup page has an RSS feed in it since 4.1, maybe if you shut that page off. I see a memory consumption with 3 files loaded and the startup page of 9368K, not that excessive I think...
