Re: Using Resolve and include external scripts, how to have a mixture, is it all or nothing?

Files loaded with Import-Module are not resolved when packaging as an executable.
Only dot sourced file are resolved during packaging if that option is checked.

Re: Cutom Actions File for MSI - run vbs

The packager has a special provision for powershell files to generate the powershell.exe call needed. For a VBS file you need to add that manually. So what you would specify in file is C:\Windows\System32\WScript.exe Under arguments you specify your script file. You want to use WScript instead of CS...

Re: Commandline execution

Then this is expected behavior. The exe basically launches itself with the specified credentials. Since you cannot run a process as user B in a console that runs as user A, Windows creates a new console. It *might* be possible for us to redirect the output back to the original console. It is the redistributables folder. And it can use PowerShell remoting, which is the third item. So single t...

Re: Psf Out-Gridview -Passthru | Restart-Service produces error

This is usually a permission problem and sounds similar to this: https://serverfault.com/questions/357424/how-do-i-grant-permissions-to-remotely-start-stop-a-service-using-powershell Your 'regular' Powershell console may run in admin mode (it is easy to miss that caption indicator), so check that. I...

Re: Terminating Windows Service Issues Error Message

February last year the PowerShell Service template was updated to include a Stop-MyService function, in order to allow customers to react to a stop service event. The template was updated for PrimalScript and PowerShell Studio. It would appear your service code was created before that was released. ...
