WMI Explorer crashing on Vista 64 bit

Well, WMI Explorer uses elevation, which causes it to crash on 64 bit Vista. I will remove the elevation manifest, which will make it work, you just won't see certain WMI classes. I am assuming that beats crashing and seeing none at all. :-) From what I can tell this is a genuine 64 bit Vista proble...

ActiveXPosh and Enable-Mailbox

success = ActiveXPosh.Init(vbTrue)

Otherwise yor profile will not be executed, which most likely contains the snapin(s) you need.

Primalscript 2007 and Exchange 2007

Hmm, seems MS doesn't give you any options here. Even if you disable using the built-in host and use the actual shell, as a 32 bit process all folders and filenames will change to the 32 bit equivalents. Unfortunately you'll encounter that frequently with 32 bit software on a 64 bit platform. I'll c...

Primalscript 2007 and Exchange 2007

PrimalScript is a 32 bit application. Did you install the 32 bit PowerShell pieces or the 64 bit bits? Is the Exchange stuff 64 bit?

I can't really promise anything on that. Oracle really doesn't play with the standards here. We'll do the best we can, though.

That is really odd, you should at least get an error message in the output window. It's almost like it is not calling the cmdlet Can you go this folder:C:Program FilesSAPIENPrimalScript 2007 Professional and check the version of this file: PWSHHelpCtrl.dll it should be 1.0.3.0 and the file date shou...

PowerShell Script Signing

Actually, I think I know what the problem is. We use the Get-PfxCertificate cmdlet to load the pfx. There is no parameter to specify the password though, so I think this why it simply fails silently. Not sure why it doesn't prompt. I will see if there is a work around available from our end. As far ...

PowerShell Script Signing

Hmm, ok, that is a bit strange as PrimalScript simply calls Set-AuthenticodeSignature as well.
I'll have to set up some diagnostics on the PowerShell host to see what might be the problem.

I'll try to do that tonight, so please ping if you don't hear anything by tomorrow.

Ok, I am not quite sure I understand this correctly, so let me re-iterate. - You want to sign files with a PFX file rather than a signature in the store - Using Set-AuthenticodeSignature you can sign a file with your PFX. So if you reload the file after signing you actually see the signature - Havin...
