Re: DPI-Aware GUI Application

DPI aware means that as the OS scales your UI, the correct fonts and sizes are chosen so that your application appears with the same proportions and text does not look fuzzy. If you scale 125%, of course everything is shown larger, that is the main purpose of DPI scaling. If you have a 4K screen and...

Re: License hosed after windows 10 anniversary

Upgrading Windows should not interfere with licensing information stored on your machine. I do not know what "does not allow me to use it" means, so if you get any kind of error message please make a note of it or take a screenshot. Please DO NOT POST THIS INFORMATION HERE. Please send the...

Re: Multiple Installs with same license

You have two activations per license, so one user can activate the software on two computers. Provided of course that these machines are used by that same single user.

Re: Setting ExecutionPolicy when building a script

Depending on the packaging options, the execution policy has usually no effect. We would need to know which exact packaging options you used, which powershell version is on the target system and what "fails" actually means. If there is any error message, please post the message here.

Re: script will not run without errors

I mentioned it because the OP wrote:

"Under Build Settings I have chosen the following.
Embed a default manifest for elevation
Alternate Credentials" I've used a domain admin account and password. "

Re: script will not run without errors

One thing that I also notice is that you try to use elevation AND RUNAS. That can not be done in one step. The way Microsoft implemented that prohibits that. If you want to run a application as an elevated admin and you are a normal user you need to use RunAs first and THEN elevate. But since the el...

Re: PS can't remember update check interval

Thanks Frank, I will look into it. In the meantime the obvious workaround is to not collapse the ribbon. :D

Re: CanNOT Debug in Citrix Session or Terminal Server session

The first error happens because you have a firewall that prevents local port connections. You need to consult with your Citrix folks on how to fix that. As for the second error, PrimalScript has no mechanism to maintain a debug mode across sessions. So I cannot really tell you how to undo that, sinc...

Re: Is there a recommended way to check if a command succeeded?

Philosophical issue :D Exceptions should only be used in exceptional cases. But today they are very often used as a catch-all device. :D For myself, I like to return 0 (FALSE) if a function fails and 1 if it succeeds. I I need more detail, I return something negative indicating a specific error or s...

Re: PS can't remember update check interval

The option is stored here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc.\PrimalScript 2016\Options
under the value "UpdateInterval"
It is odd that would be empty. The default value is 3, which would be monthly
