Re: Datacopier for DaRT

Awesome!

The good thing here is ... you always have room for improvements.
Just make sure to do all the necessary testing make sure you get the result you expect.

Re: Datacopier for DaRT

This is why it's better to do a run process instead of sending it to a background job.

You will need to loop thru the job and check for results in order to take the proper action. This involves in more code, which is not impossible, but will take you a little longer.

Re: Datacopier for DaRT

Strangely enough I've been working on a series of blog posts about Progress Bar. But, it will be release within one or two more weeks. Now, my colleague JVierra provided a sample form using JobTracker. I change it a little to include both the progress bar and a RichTextBox controls. I gave the form ...

Re: Datacopier for DaRT

Every situation is different. Your script need more care: 1. Everything that is repetitive can be converted to a function. ( function My-Robocopy{(param folder, options..)..} ) 2. Use Try/Catch - if something happens to the Robocopy step, then what to do. 3. Need to build custom messages during your...

Re: Unable to Debug module

Keep in mind! Modules need to be loaded in a PowerShell session first before it's use. Then, you need to create a separate script file(s) that uses the module command(s) in order to test then and/or check for errors. Functions in any the module can't run by themselves, it need to be execute from a c...

Re: Datagridview - formatting just stopped working.

Just an FYI and to give you other options. You don't really need to add more code to handle the column width (unless is really needed). Try the following property changes: 1. Form Properties Font FormBorderStyle - Sizable 2. Datagridview properties Behavior ColumnHeadersHeightSizeMode - AutoSize Row...

Re: Cache PowerShell 6 (Core) module

It is in our roadmap to provide this functionality. We are waiting for a more stable PowerShell Core SDK as Microsoft keep updating their .NET Core version on every GA version.
