Terminate Process by Network Service

Try it this way:
objShell.Run("taskkill /F /FI ""USERNAME eq NT AUTHORITYNETWORK SERVICE"" /IM wmiprvse.exe")

Single quotes won't work on VBS run commands or in the shell.

script to check Forest-Wide group policy settings.

Jeff is correct. You have to manage each domain separately but they will all show in teh same GPMC console. There is a single export wizard that will let you export all GPOs for the domain.

ACL query

Tough question. Yes - their are many third party tools that can do this. No - there is no "builtin" method for doing thids in one command. You can use SUBINACL to query each individual server for the file, service and registry ACL entries. There is NO WAY using script with objects or WMI to get all ...

Querying for Security Information

Also not that ALL policy settings returned by SecEdit scans are stored as registry settings which are much easier to read. If you need to do a lar...

Scripting NTFS Perms IIS7

I believe what may be confusing you is that ASP.NET uses teh "web.config" file to set the conditions and parameteres used for "authentication" providers. These values are settable via the WMI IIS provider is some cases. In other cases you can do direct updates to the config files via script assuming...

Scripting NTFS Perms IIS7

Sam - your request doesn't make much sense. Can you describe what permissions you need to set.

IUSR is an account onn IIS that is ussed to proxy for the anonymous web user. It doesn't have any NTFS permissions.

IE7 has little to do with IUSR_machine account or with IISx.

Object required Error in HTA

You canot address a popup like a normal window. It is a light-weight window without an addressable body. YOu can create a po9pup and kill it but anything else will likely ail.

Popup does not support all HTL objects such as "input". and "select".
