Some Array Questions

See - I learn something everyday and from Jeff much. I never knew that the ADSI provider for ADO was that flexible. Good thing to know. Now if Microsoft will just add full Regex to ADSI/ADO we will be in business.

Some Array Questions

I just love new scripters because they have an uncanny ability to ask for teh impossible. This is always a good chance to learn something new for me. Here is one solution using a Dictionary and some subroutines. It may not be the best but, I believe it is a very elegant solution. It provides a ditio...

Some Array Questions

Good example Jeff. Now how do we solve the "remove from array problem"? This requirement conflicts immediately with the need to subroutine as teh information needed to determine if the computer should be removed frm the array only exists briefly in the subroutine. PS: Don't cheat and use globals tha...

How do I run WinZip from a PowerShell Script?

I am surprised that PowerGUI doesn't parse exactly the same way as PoSH. Might be an issue with the debugger implementation or just a program bug. Did you report it? In most cases if the first tokenin a command line is a known program iPS will pass teh remainder of the command line unchanged to teh ...

windows script component, type lib + registering

I am trying to get a handle on how VB6 handles this. I have not had a copy of VB6 installed for about 5 years so I am using VBA via Access to test this. I can use the controls normally in VBA and intellisense works. I will post more if and when I see what teh exact difference between the two registr...

Working with error codes

It return a boolean. If'iing it will allow you to determine if the server can be used. For now just fix your original code. You almost have it. There appears to be only that one mistake and it will work. Your mistake is causing a cascading error with error checking turned off so you never see it. Fi...
