Re: Does not recognize ActiveDirectory module objects
Apologies. I stopped getting emails that there was a response to the thread. I did have a manifest file for the module, I didn't include in the zip (not sure why I didn't). Anyways, I tried creating the help file from the module without the manifest and that gave the same errors. Then I tried your s...

Re: Does not recognize ActiveDirectory module objects
I've uploaded the file. It had an error that said the file had been uploaded successfully but it wasn't able to notify support.

Re: Does not recognize ActiveDirectory module objects
Oh. My apologies, looking at my original post it definitely wasn't clear I was creating it for my own module.
I ran the command you supplied and it completed without any errors.

Re: Does not recognize ActiveDirectory module objects
Sorry, I'm not sure what the dll-help.xml is or how that would help me...
I could also supply you with the module to test if that would be helpful.
Thanks

Does not recognize ActiveDirectory module objects
I'm currently using a trial version of PowerShell HelpWriter version 1.1.20 x64. I'm trying to create a new help file from an existing module and when I attempt to Export it I get an error that says unable to find type [Microsoft.ActiveDirectory.Management.ADUser]. When I click OK on that message I ...

Re: [PSS 2016] Do Not Edit File on Build Module
Just to be clear I don't care so much about the content getting tabbed in. What I really care about is the comment block that gets prepended into the psm1 file.

Well that would be a third way to fix it
Thanks for the reply. Don't know why I never tried clicking them.

Re: [PSS 2016] Do Not Edit File on Build Module
I don't have the project in the same folder the module exports to. These are also strictly script modules there's no GUI files associated with them. What I'm referring to is I can look at my PSM1 file in my project directory and it is exactly my code. When I use the Build Module button and then look...

[PSS 2016] Do Not Edit File on Build Module
I don't know if this bugs just me, but I absolutely dislike the fact that PSS edits my PSM1 file when I use the Build Module button in a Module Project. The button is extremely useful but the fact that it edits my files makes me not want to use it. This is a commercial product that many people use t...

[PSS 2016] Rename Enhancement
I've just started using PSS recently and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I think the Rename functionality could be improved because the current Preview implementation is kind of useless. There's no point in knowing the line numbers that contain the changes if I don't have any context around them or I c...
