Re: Clarification on RunAs and SetExecution

The execution policy on your machine applies only to scripts run directly from a PowerShell console (or the ISE). Other hosts may not evaluate this policy or not execute your code as a "script file". Without any additional information we cannot know what "the exe" is. If it runs in PowerShell Studio...

Re: Problem when program is run from EXE vs IDE

Format-table is a tricky cmdlet. It uses the console width to determine sizes. Since the output in the IDE is piped into a window we artificially set that to "very wide" (I do not know the exact width now). In an exe, assuming it is packaged as a console app, it uses the console width. In an exe pac...

Re: Compiled EXE InvocationInfo.MyCommand.Name has part of full path when hashtag (#) in folder path

The reason for this is that the .NET framework mangles the file name if a # character is in it. Ran it quickly in the debugger and I see that Application.ExecutablePath delivers something like: C:\Temp\InvocationInfo\#1/x64/PoshAppHostV5.exe For some reason it decides mid name to switch from \ to / ...

Re: Display Scaling

It's actually Microsoft Windows Forms and yes, it is always a struggle to develop user interfaces that work on multiple resolutions, magnification factors and display sizes. Unfortunately that is not an issue limited to Windows Forms or PowerShell Studio. Maybe you can share a screenshot of your set...

Re: Improper argument on startup and file save

Can you give us an example of what the name of the file is (full path) and what you are saving it as (also full path)?
Maybe we can replicate it.

Without seeing what you put in, that is hard to tell. Please take a screenshot of the unlock dialog just before you submit it and send it to support@sapien.com

Re: Lost activation on windows update to 1903

I just recently updated too and did't lose activation, interesting. At any rate, go to your account page https://www.sapien.com/account/products
and remove the activation for your machine. Then reactivate.

Re: Are there any showcase examples of PowerShell Studio GUI?

A lot of people use PowerShell Studio to create GUI apps, but the majority is in-house, corporate applications, so you won't ever see those.
If you google "powershell studio" GUI apps
you get a lot of help getting started.
