Re: could powershell studio be extended to support python or do you have a python ide?

PowerShell Studio does provide syntax coloring for py files but doesn't offer any direct language support for Python nor do we have a dedicated editor. You could utilize the Custom Menu feature to execute py files from PowerShell Studio: https://www.sapien.com/blog/2015/10/01/powershell-studio-2015-...

Re: Could not find a part of the path....

I don't see anything wrong in the logs. I believe the message in the application is the result of a permissions issue.

I would try deleting the recovery folder:

\Application Data\SAPIEN\PowerShell Studio 2018\Recovery\

Otherwise disabling the feature will just prevent the messages.

Re: Weird path selection in project

Are you running the code in the embedded console or using PowerShell Studio's internal host? When you have a script that doesn't specify a full path, it becomes dependent on the current directory. Therefore, when running a script, especially in a console, it is possible that the current directory is...

Re: Could not find a part of the path....

They are included as part of the installer for PowerShell Studio. Please run the installer with the following command line parameters: Installer.exe /exenoui /qn /L*v .\SPS_Install.log This will produce a log of the install process. Please zip and upload the resulting log file here: https://www.sapi...

Re: Could not find a part of the path....

Please check if the prerequisites are already installed. Uninstalling PowerShell Studio will not remove the prerequisites from the machine because they have separate installer entries in Windows.

Re: non-modal forms

Due to the limitations of PowerShell, having a non-modal dialog is not supported by PowerShell Studio. Showing a non-modal dialog is possible, but you have to heavily modify the generated script so that everything is in a global scope. All the local form variables will go out-of-scope after the show...

Re: Could not find a part of the path....

This is not linked to the project but to PowerShell Studio’s file recovery feature which saves the edited files in case the application is unexpectedly terminated. This error appears when PowerShell Studio fails to create the recovery folder. Do you have any restrictions on the Application Data fold...

Re: trying to get a function loaded from a PSM1 to write to a PSF-defined text box

[TOPIC MOVED TO POWERSHELL GUIS FORUM] If you can provide an example, we will be able to assist you further. Typically, you want to use the Out-String to set the Text of the textbox control. $textBox1.Text = Get-Process | Out-String I recommend looking at the "TextBox - Get Process" control set (loc...
