I ended up adding

$listview1.Items.Clear()
before the function was called to clear out the items from the List View

In the forums, would it be possible to put a flag somewhere in the responses to a post as an indicator that this particular response answered my question. Also, potentially add an "up vote" for comment.

PowerShell 7 does not support subsystems that are Windows only and should not be used except when it is necessary to run code on non-windows systems. System.Web.DLL is not part of .NetCore and will not work with Powershell 7. So I have to create my own password generator.
