How do you run scripts?

Tuesday, December 15th, 2015 by June Blender
It's one of those questions that probably divides people into clans, like where you place your curly braces in a script block. Take the survey: How do you run scripts? But, it's an important question for productivity. Those of us who live the PowerShell life run scripts all the time. We might also delegate the task of running scripts to others. If the way that we run our scripts isn't efficient, we (or our delegates) lose at least some of the time we gained from automation. Some of us (okay, me) run scripts from the console. We'll open a console…   More »

Use the poll, Luke

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013 by Alex Riedel
Look to the right on this blog, there is a poll about which panels in PrimalScript you use. We need more users to answer this, unless you are trying to tell us to get rid of all panels :-) So go, check some boxes… …   More »

New blog poll: Which PrimalScript panels do you use regularly?

Tuesday, March 19th, 2013 by Alex Riedel
Look to the right. A new blog poll is up. We would like to know which panels in PrimalScript you use regularly. That doesn’t mean you need to have one visible all the time to check it. If you use it, in any fashion, check it. If you don’t use, don’t check it. Don’t even know what it is or what it does? Don’t check it. We are always looking and verifying if the features PrimalScript has are of any use to you. If they are not, we’d rather remove them to keep the application trim and tailored to your…   More »

New poll: Should the next version of PrimalScript use a Ribbon interface?

Monday, November 14th, 2011 by Alex Riedel
Look to the right, there is a new poll. Some of you have come to love it some of you loath it: The Ribbon interface used in Microsoft Office 2007 and above. Windows 7's Paint has it. Windows 8 will have it for Windows Explorer. PrimalForms had it from the beginning. Some find it offers easier access to common functions, some claim it makes it easier to discover functionality. Yet others despise the look and don't want the screen real estate wasted in that manner. Compare the user interface area of PrimalScript 2011 and PrimalMerge 2011:     Please use…   More »

New poll: Do you use the PrimalScript/PrimalForms Start Page?

Saturday, September 10th, 2011 by Alex Riedel
Look to the right. There is a  new poll. We are curious if you use the Start Page that usually comes up first when you start PrimalScript or PrimalForms. Come on, it's just one click, "Yes", "No"  or, if you have never seen it, "What start page?" Thanks! Oh, and feel free to comment if you have any suggestions or gripes.…   More »

Your Vote and Comments count

I like seeing all the votes for our short PowerShell production poll. Over 100 responses and still overwhelmingly more of you are using PowerShell in production. If you aren't, I hope you'll vote and leave a comment why on the original post so that the discussion will be in one location.…   More »

PowerShell Boot Camp Winter 08/09

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 by Jeffery Hicks
Our PowerShell boot camp was very successful and popular. Registration was limited so we'd like to set up a class for some time this Winter, most likely in the Jan-Feb timeframe. Locations have been narrowed down although no dates have been finalized. You should see a poll on the blog starting today where you can vote for which location you would prefer for the PowerShell boot camp.  You can read more about the first class here.…   More »
