PowerShell Studio: New ProgressBar Control

In the last service release of PowerShell Studio 2012 (v3.0.8) a new custom control called ProgressBarOverlay was introduced. This new progress control functions exactly like the typical progress bar, with the added ability of displaying a text percentage over the progress bar. PowerShell Studio 2012: Form Recovery

Over time we have had various users who needed to alter the form but lost the original pff file. These users only had an exported GUI script. Naturally they would ask us if they could recover the original form from the exported script. The only solution was to recreate the form by hand and manually paste the event scripts into the new form. Fortunately, this is no longer the case. PowerShell Studio 2012: New Control Set Option

In the service release blog article we mentioned a new Control Set option for PowerShell Studio 2012 v3.0.4. In this article we will detail this option and how to use it. “Use Existing Type (Match Name)” Option When creating a control set you now have a new option that you can apply to non-visual controls such as ImageLists, ErrorProviders, etc. The “Use Existing Type (Match Name)” option functions similarly to the “Use Existing Type”.
