New Subscription Reinstatement Option

We here at SAPIEN Technologies, Inc. appreciate all of the feedback that our customers’ provide us, and work daily to meet requests that are brought to our attention.

In the past, we have offered one renewal option for our customers. Our Subscription renewal window was no earlier than three months prior to the expiration and no later than 30 days’ post expiration. If you decided after the 30-day post expiration renewal window that you wanted to return to maintenance, a new license at full MSRP price would need to be purchased to be up to date with the latest software.

We have now established a REINSTATEMENT OF SUBSCRIPTION option, in addition to a DISCOUNTED SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL option. This was developed so that our users can reactivate their expired subscriptions within an allotted time period, without having to purchase a brand new license. We will still also offer the discounted option for those who wish to stay under active maintenance. Here’s how it works:

Initially, each new license purchase comes with the first year of maintenance for free in terms of all minor service builds and major product releases. At the end of this year, you will have the option to renew.

Discounted Subscription Renewal: We will now offer a window of no earlier than three months prior to expiration and no later than three months’ post expiration to renew at the discounted renewal price point. Your renewal will always start with the already established expiration date of the next year, so waiting past the expiration date to renew will not extend any extra time. A Discounted Subscription Renewal will come at a cost of approximately 50% off new license purchases.

EXAMPLE: It is March 9th, 2016. Your subscription is set to expire July 1st, 2016.
You renew anytime between April 1st, 2016 – September 30th, 2016
Subscription will be renewed through July 1st, 2017.

Reinstatement of Subscription: Did you miss your discounted renewal window? See a new feature that you’re dying to have, but your subscription has expired? Well, the Reinstatement of Subscription option is now available for purchase no earlier than four months’ post expiration and no later than fifteen months’ post expiration. If your Subscription expiration date for maintenance falls outside of the allotted Discounted Subscription Renewal window, but within the allotted Reinstatement window, then you are eligible for this option! With the Reinstatement of Subscription, your maintenance expiration date will refresh; You will be given a full year of maintenance from the date of reinstatement. A Reinstatement of Subscription will come at a cost of approximately 20% off new license purchases.

EXAMPLE: It is March 9th, 2016. Your subscription expired on November 1st, 2015.
You are no longer eligible for a discounted renewal of subscription.
You purchase a reinstatement of subscription on March 9th, 2016.
Subscription will restart, and be renewed through April 1st, 2017.

New License Purchase: If your subscription is more than 15 months’ past the initial expiration date, a new license will need to be purchased to be up to date with our latest software.

EXAMPLE: It is March 9th, 2016. Your subscription expired on October 1st, 2014.
Your subscription has been expired for more than 15 months. A new license will need to be purchased.

Please note that for both Discounted Subscription Renewals and Reinstatement of Subscription orders, a valid 16-digit subscription number is required for purchase. If you are unable to provide the Subscription Number or receipt of purchase, a new license will be required.  This new Reinstatement option can be purchased directly through the SAPIEN Store, by Purchase Order sent to sales@sapien.com, or through any of our Resellers and Distributors.
