Are you planning on upgrading your device(s) to Windows 10? Put on the brakes and save yourself a headache! There are a few necessary steps that need to be taken prior to the upgrade, in order to prevent the loss of your allotted two activations.
Please perform the following steps on every device (for every individual product, unless operating under a SAPIEN Software Suite subscription where you are only required to deactivate one of the seven products) that currently runs our software, and will be upgraded to Windows 10:
Open your product. In the top right corner you will see the following gold-like certificate:
It’s as simple as that! Now you can successfully upgrade your operating system AND re-activate your SAPIEN products. So what happens if you do not perform this deactivation prior to the upgrade? You will be prompted to re-activate the device upon opening the product post-upgrade, and will receive the following error message:
Anytime changes are made to the operating system/hard drive name, it triggers a new activation; the previous activation is now lost in limbo. You will then have to either e-mail email@example.com, explaining the situation and asking for a manual reset, or using your allotted “one” reset a year through your My Accounts, My Products page. We want to make sure this transition to Windows 10 is as smooth as it can possibly be for you! We definitely don’t want you having to wait around for a response regarding your manual reset, especially in time sensitive situations!
