SAPIEN Ignite Conference Pass Award for Women in PowerShell

SAPIEN Technologies, Inc., developer of PowerShell Studio and Primal Script, will award a full conference pass for Microsoft Ignite 2015 to a woman in the Windows PowerShell community. SAPIEN encourages other Ignite participants to match this award and support the attendance of technical women at IT and developer conferences.

We’ve all been to the technical conferences with thousands of men and just a sprinkling of women. The dearth of women in computer technology seems to hit IT professionals hardest when it comes to conference time. There are many women speakers, but just a few women in the audience. Women are particularly scarce at Windows PowerShell events.

To encourage women in technology, and specifically female IT professionals who are active in the Windows PowerShell community, SAPIEN Technologies, Inc. is awarding a full conference pass to Microsoft Ignite 2015 to a woman in the Windows PowerShell community. The pass provides “All access. All breakout sessions. All social events,” including meals at the conference.

Candidates must be women who are currently learning and/or using Windows PowerShell in some capacity and who will be able to attend the conference if awarded this pass. The award consists only of the attendee conference pass. The award recipient is responsible for all other costs. SAPIEN assumes no liability. The awarded pass must be used by the recipient; it is not transferrable.

To apply for this award, send an email introducing yourself and describing your work with Windows PowerShell and the PowerShell community to info@sapien.com by February 15, 2015. Include a statement verifying that you will be able to attend the conference if you receive this award.

SAPIEN will select and announce the winner soon thereafter, leaving plenty of time for securing hotel and travel arrangements. Selection of the winner is entirely at the discretion of SAPIEN Technologies, Inc.
