Am I doing something wrong or PowerShell Studio intellisense is so poor?

Post by AntonKrouglov »

PowerShell Studio 2017 v5.4.135, 64 bit version, trial
Operating system: Windows 10.0.14393 x 64 bit
PSVersion 5.1.14393.693

I have unexpected intellisense problems with the same tmp.ps1 file as in previous message viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11117

PowerShell Studio editor does not guess anything apart from some basic types. Variables of custom classes, .NET objects (explicitly type-defined) do not show any properties after typing dot.

For instance look at the difference between attached pictures. PowerShell ISE provides correct list.

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe there are some settings I have missed? Is it a trial limitation?

PS. I am a former C# programmer, so I am writing a lot of complex scripts. Apparently most of PS IDEs are terrible/buggy including VS 2015. Your tool was my last resort.

Unfortunately, at the moment this feature isn't available in PowerShell Studio. It is on our wishlist however so I will make note that you have requested it as well.
