Once again SAPIEN Press is putting out the call for technical reviewers for a new book. The book, as yet untitled, is about enterprise telecommuting. It covers everything you might need to know about designing, installing, configuring and maintaining a corporate telecommuting or remote access environment. An ideal reviewer will have experience with Windows Server 2008, Active Directory, Exchange 2007, SharePoint, Office Communication Server, Terminal Services, Windows Mobile, and enterprise level networking. Server 2008 Revealed

I run a few Windows Server 2008 servers in VMWare for my test and demonstration environment. Honestly, I put them up very quickly not really knowing what I was doing, especially with Server Core. If I had the time, I would have looked at Greg Shield's book Windows Server 2008: What's New/What's Changed. Like you I don't have time to read an exhaustive door stop of a book (not that those titles don't have value). What I needed was to learn about only the new Server 2008 features. I've been around long enough to know what a server is. All I needed was information on what was new in Server 2008 and what things changed from Server 2003.   More »

I hope the interest in reviewing Hal's VMWare book is a sign of general interest. Thanks to all who sent in requests. At this point I think we have all that we need. If you made the cut you'll get an email with a logon id and additional instructions. Also to clarify a requirement, reviewers will need EITHER ESX or VMWare Server. Not both.
